Comet Meetings, the French start-up reinventing the city meeting experience, celebrates its 1-year anniversary in Belgium. A major player in the Future of Work, Comet Meetings looks back on the first year of the opening of its co-meeting building in Brussels: a venue dedicated to corporate meetings and seminars in the Louise district. After a start under the sign of the coronavirus, an event that shook up work codes and put the spotlight back on the importance of social ties between colleagues, the start-up is delighted with the positive impact this period has had on company meetings.
Created to meet the needs of companies that need to get together (seminars, board meetings, training courses...), Comet Meetings offers an experience designed to foster the collective intelligence of teams. In over a year, Comet Meetings Louise has welcomed nearly 1,000 events and meetings, as well as almost 20,000 participants, with the aim of offering them moments of gathering filled with meaning and creativity. This emblematic venue, designed in collaboration with Belgian architect Lionel Jadot, also attracted a lot of attention: hundreds of curious companies and entrepreneurs came to visit it.
"As fervent advocates of collective intelligence and human experience, we are convinced that a meeting should be a memorable event that creates value for companies. The global health crisis has reinforced this conviction, and many companies share it: more than ever, they are looking to bring their staff together for memorable, defining moments. The growth of Comet Louise illustrates this strong trend, and we are certain that it will not stop here", explains Victor Carreau, co-founder of Comet Meetings.
Comet Meetings also boasts a prestigious roster of Belgian and international customers. To name but a few, HUB Brussels, Axa, the European Parliament, BMI Executive Institute, Bpost and Belfius Bank are among the organizations convinced of the added value of the venue for business meetings.
"Comet Meetings is a super-easy-to-reach location right in the center of Brussels. It's like being in a hotel, and it's very inspiring. It makes us want to get off the beaten track, and exacerbates our creativity. There are a lot of possibilities when you're working in a group, thanks to the different capacities of the rooms. When you arrive at Comet, you know that the experience is going to be optimal and successful, thanks to the teams who accompany you from the conception to the realization of the event", describes the Thalys company.
Organizing motivating, high-quality meetings for employees is a concern shared by many companies, whatever their sector of activity. As a result, Comet's customers are truly diverse, and here are the top 5: :
After a successful year in Brussels, Comet Meetings continues its international expansion, inaugurating its first site in Spain in the summer of 2022. In Madrid, a new 2,000m2 location has opened on Calle Alfonso XII, opposite the famous Retiro Park. With a presence in three European markets and total sales of over 25 million euros, Comet Meetings has no intention of stopping there.
"Passionate about collective intelligence, it's fundamental for us to convey our vision of Comet and embody it in our many projects: with the all-digital world, companies and their employees need to move towards a better approach to meetings. We help them to do less but better," explains Victor Carreau, co-founder and CEO of Comet Meetings. " Our recent openings in Paris and Madrid enable us to acculturate more and more companies to this approach, for a more qualitative, unifying and memorable result".
