Opening of a new venue in the heart of the Spanish capital to continue revolutionizing corporate meetings and seminars in Europe
After just 5 years in business, and having already opened 10 venues dedicated to corporate meetings and seminars in France and Belgium, Comet Meetings is continuing its expansion in Europe with the launch of a new venue in Madrid, in the highly sought-after Retiro district. In this building with its listed facade, designed in collaboration with the Madrid in Love architectural studio, CometMeetings aims to convert Madrid companies to its vision of meetings and new forms of collaboration. A value proposition that combines exceptional venues and top-of-the-range services, to stimulate creativity and team productivity. Opening of Comet Retiro, the "Parc au Trésors", scheduled for August 29, 2022.
The decision to locate in Madrid was prompted by a need clearly identified by Comet Meetings. Spaniards are far more committed to the concept of teleworking or hybrid working than are the French, as a study by the Fondation Jean Jaurès published in September 2021 noted. It revealed that 43% of Spaniards worked 100% from home, compared with 34% of French employees. The Spanish government has also introduced incentives to encourage "digital nomads" to move to Spain. This sends out a strong signal to companies, who nevertheless need to invent a new way of integrating quality face-to-face collaboration time, in order to maintain and cultivate their capacity for innovation and their corporate culture. This is precisely Comet Meetings 's core business and expertise: to give meetings a new dimension, turning them into working and decision-making times that generate progress, results and links between employees. Exceptional venues and innovative services serve this purpose.
In keeping with the spirit of its previous projects, Comet Meetings has chosen a listed building opposite the famous Retiro Park for its first location in Madrid. The new co-meeting venue will open on one of the Spanish capital's most emblematic avenues, Calle Alfonso XII, not far from Puerta Felipe IV and the Casón del Buen Retiro. To keep up with the vibrant, creative spirit of an ever-changing Madrid, where shops and restaurants alike vie for boldness and originality in their conception and design, Comet Meetings commissioned Studio Madrid in Love to adapt this building, already rich in history and singular architecture, to today's spirit of modernity. Madrid in Love worked for 8 months in close collaboration with Comet's Design& Build team, to create the perfect synergy between Comet's creative DNA and the local companies' expectations in terms of ambience and ergonomics. The result is a space that enhances the character of the building's remarkable facade, and is truly in keeping with the beauty of the nearby Park.
It's a safe bet that the Spanish monarchs, who loved to stroll through this district and the Retiro avenues, would have appreciated the quality of this project, and that companies will find Comet's "Treasure Park" the ideal place to get together, work as a team and, for their part, take a step back in time to reflect and create the way Comet knows how.
To showcase its ambitions, Comet Meetings worked with Studio Madrid in Love, founded by Naora Qurios and Juan Luis Medina in 2011. The group brings together some twenty professionals who bring their creative power and talents to bear on exceptional projects in the hotel, public space and design worlds. Its 360° vision enables it to sign original, avant-garde concepts... The daily newspaper "El Mundo" has named them as one of the firms that are best at renewing the spirit of Madrid's restaurants. Among the projects that the Madrid in Love studio has signed are brands such as Grupo Pez (El Imparcial); Grupo El Escondite (El Escondite de Villanueva, Cleas or LadyMadonna).
